There is something about a bond between a granddaughter and her grandmother and Katie and Mimi have had that from day one. (Considering that Mimi practically raised her the first 3 months of life.) Even though through out the past 5 1/2 years Mimi (and pop) have lived in 4 different places and just now are within a days drive from us, the bond is just as strong. It is funny no matter if we are at their house or they are at ours at some point Katie and Mimi will be missing... You will find them in a room curled up together reading a book or playig Uno or just telling stories. They will stay this way for HOURS... literally! I think it all goes back to when Katie was an infant and I would leave the house for work and mom would be in the rocking chair just rocking away with Katie and whe I returned 8 hours later they were STILL there!!! I think Katie remembers that somehow!!! Katie truely loves her Mimi and loves to jsut be near her... It makes my heart happy to see how close they are. It is something I have always wanted. And Mimi loves her Katie like no other. Mimi's song is "A Bushel and a Peck" and Katie knows it word for word. So, here is to you Mimi... Katie loves you more that you will ever know (and so do the rest of us... :)
Now... Ben and Pop... now that is another story... talk about 2 peas in a pod.. .kinda scary I tell ya...that will be for another post!!!

Love the pix, as always!! Where are your parents living now? I think you mentioned Georgia? It's soooo nice to be near my family again. I miss Raleigh a lot-- especially my wonderful friends, but I've seen my parents so often! Also, my little brother and his wife who live in Huntsville have a boy due Nov 5, so I can't wait to be Aunt Sue!!
